Boston Bruins make a surprise announcement involving Don Sweeney
The Boston Bruins made a shocking announcement today involving general manager Don Sweeney.
This off-season Don Sweeney has faced a lot of criticism, especially due to the fact that he has yet to sign starting goaltender Jeremy Swayman to a contract, who is still currently an RFA (restricted free agent).
But today the Boston Bruins made an announcement involving Don Sweeney as it's his day.
Today is Don Sweeneys birthday, he turns 58-years old and the Boston Bruins made a post on social media to recognize their general manager who was born on August 17th, 1996.
During his NHL career, Sweeney played 1052 out of 1115 games with the Boston Bruins organization, and whether you love him or hate him he is and will always be apart of Boston Bruins history.
Sweeney is known for his controversial decisions at times, but let's take time out of our day to wish him a happy birthday.
