One of Boston Bruins newest members, Max Jones may face some consequences after hitting a referee with his stick.

So far the Boston Bruins have been disappointing in their opening night game, Joonas Korpisalo has not looked good, and the Bruins defence has looked horrible as well.

The Bruins made some big additions in the off-season to try and be competitive with the Florida Panthers, who have knocked them out in the playoffs for the past two seasons, but so far the Bruins do not look like a match to the Panthers.

While being down 5-2 in the second period to the Florida Panthers things got worse for the Boston Bruins as Max Jones, who signed with the Boston Bruins in free agency during the off-season was involved in some controversy during his debut with the Boston Bruins and he may pay for it.

While being engaged in a scrum with Florida Panthers forward Evan Rodrigues, Max Jones tried to slash Rodrigues with his stick, but instead ended up hitting the referee with his stick.
