The Boston Bruins might have found their next Milan Lucic, but in a defenseman.

During the Prospect Challenge in Buffalo, one prospect stood out and has been talked about a lot, Jackson Edwards.

Boston Bruins prospect Jackson Edwards is making a name for himself, and many believe that he will be a fan favourite for the Bruins one day as he plays a really gritty style of play, sorta like Milan Lucic. The only difference is that Lucic was a forward, and Edwards is a defenseman.

The Bruins drafted Edwards in the 7th round of the 2022 NHL Entry Level Draft, and has made a name for himself during this prospect challenge.

Playing with the London Knights last year in the OHL, Edwards would put up a career high in points with 30 and would go on to win the Memorial Cup.

Edward is coming off a strong season with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), posting career highs with seven goals, 23 assists, 30 points, and a plus-43 rating. Overall, the 6-foot-2 defender not only took his offense to a new level but was steady defensively. This naturally has made him a more interesting prospect in Boston's system.

It's not likely that Edwards will make the roster out of camp this year, but there is a good chance if the Bruins deal with injuries, that he gets a call up with how he has played during the prospect challenge.
