Boston Bruins prospects to keep an eye on during training camp
The Boston Bruins have multiple prospects to watch during training camp this year that could make a run for a roster spot.
Today was the final game the Boston Bruins played during the Prospect Challenge in Buffalo, and the Bruins ended off on a good note beating the New Jersey Devils 6-4, and went 1-1-1 during the tournament.
Bruins beat New Jersey 6-4. They finish the Prospect Challenge with a 1-1-1 record.
Two Boston Bruins prospects really stood out for the Boston Bruins, Riley Duran, and John Farinacci. Jackson Edwards also really stood out for the Bruins and he started to make a name for himself during this prospect challenge.
Both Riley Duran and John Farinacci both have a really good chance at making the Boston Bruins roster out of training camp this year, and if not, either of them more than likely will see some NHL time sometime throughout the year if there are some injuries.
Boston Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy stated that fans shouldn't be surprised to see Riley Duran fight for the second line right wing spot this year out of camp.
Don't be surprised to see Duran in the mix for the Bruins coveted second line RW spot, once camp opens. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound Woburn native is someone general manager Don Sweeney was most excited to see in camp. A sixth-round selection in the 2020 draft, Duran played three seasons at Providence College earning 27 goals and 55 points in 102 games. Farinacci was the Providence Bruins top rookie scorer last season. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound forward netted 12 goals 38 points in 71 games.
The Boston Bruins are looking for someone within the organization to take the second line right wing spot, as he stated earlier in the off-season, but Don Sweeney stated that they aren't just going to hand it to someone, a player is going to have to earn this spot.
