With the summer in full swing, the Bruins have released the numbers that will be worn by all new free agents and players acquired in trade earlier this offseason.

The Bruins have acquired new talent in defenseman Nikita Zadorov, center Elias Lindholm and goaltender Joonas Korpisalo amongst others who will help reshape this roster.

Out of all announced numbers, Zadorov has the most notable as he is the second player in the franchise to where the number 91. The last player to hold this number was former Bruins star forward Marc Savard who has now become an assistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

During the initial reveal, Zadorov made a quick joke when realizing he had taken Savard's number without asking him. He also explained that he took the number because it's an upside down 16 which was the number he has had since His early days of playing hockey.

With the numbers locked in, there is still one major piece of business remaining for the Bruins as fans await the pending signing of Bruins starting goaltender Jeremy Swayman.

With slow negotiations and no signs of a contract it remains to be seen on how general manager Don Sweeney will approach the upcoming weeks as training camp will be looming maybe mid to late September.
