The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs hate each other, there is no secret, and now Brad Marchand has welcomed a new Maple Leaf into the rivalry after jumping him for a dirty hit on David Pastrnak.
During Tuesday's game between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs the two teams did not waste anytime to get physical. Multiple brawls broke out in this game, but one of the ones that stood out was Brad Marchand jumping Chris Tanev after a hit from behind on David Pastrnak. This would cause a massive brawl between the two teams.
Watching the the hit at full speed and slowed down the hit does not look good, and Marchand was not gonna wait to see the video of the hit to stick up for their best player who has been getting targeted a lot lately. The numbers were clearly there and this could have easily injured Pastrnak.
The Boston Bruins were looking to win their third game in a row for the first time this season, but that wouldn't happen. The Bruins would give up 2 quick power play goals in the second period, and would end up losing 4-0 even though the Leafs were without their captain Auston Matthews.
The start of the year for the Bruins has not been ideal, they currently now sit 6-7-1, which is good for fourth in the Atlantic Division, but they hold themselves to a higher standard.
Do you blame Brad Marchand for jumping Chris Tanev?
