To start the season off this year the Chicago Blackhawks have looked good, and last night they took on the powerhouse of the Edmonton Oilers, and beat them.
The Chicago Blackhawks held Connor McDavid, Zach Hyman, and Leon Draisaitl to just one point all night, and would go on to score 5 goals on Oilers goaltender Calvin Pickard, with Bedard picking up three points.
Nick foligno, a former Boston Bruins fan favourite has been leading the Chicago Blackhawks to start the season off, and following the 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers, Nick Foligno held a postgame meeting and showed great leadership.
Foligno spoke on how well the team was playing, and stressed how well they needed to play in the third period knowing the Oilers were going to make a push to comeback.
The Chicago Blackhawks rallied together to take down the powerhouse in the Edmonton Oilers 5-2, with 8 Blackhawks players recording a point. The team didn't heavily rely on Connor Bedard to carry them to the finish line like they did most of the time last year.
This is a different Chicago Blackhawks team we are seeing this year, and with the new additions they made in the off-season, they are heading the right way in their rebuild.
