Former Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien has made a surprising return to the NHL.

It was announced today that the St. Louis Blues have hired Claude Julien who led the Boston Bruins to a Stanley Cup in 2011. The Blues have hired Julien as an assistant coach.
Julien began his coaching career with the Montreal Canadiens in 2002 and has coached for 19 seasons.
He started his first three seasons out with the Montreal Canadiens before going to New Jersey for 1 season and then spent 10 years with the Boston Bruins where he would finally hoist the Stanley Cup in 2011.
During his time with the Boston Bruins, they made the playoffs 7 times and also appeared in the Stanley Cup Finals twice.
