The Boston Bruins have released their official roster moments before their game against the Washington Capitals.
Before the Bruins get to enjoy their holiday break they are going to have to face a big test as they are set to face off against the second best team in the league.
The Bruins are set to host the Washington Capitals at TD Garden and the Capitals are currently the best team in the East and second best in the league only behind the Winnipeg Jets.
After beating the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, the Bruins are looking to make it two straight wins Monday night when they host the Washington Capitals.
«We talked about that yesterday a little bit, as far as the feeling - trying to get on the right side of it, feeling good about your game individually and, more importantly, our team game going into the break,» Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco told reporters Monday. «It's going to be a good test for us.»
There aren't any changes to the Bruins lines and pairings from Saturday when they played the Buffalo Sabres. Morgan Geekie who has been playing amazing for the Bruins will remain with Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak, and the Bruins will start Jeremy Swayman in net.
Here is what Sacco had to say about Morgan Geekie ahead of the game:
«He knows his role on that line; he's doing it well too,» Sacco said of Geekie, who scored the game-winning goal against Buffalo.
The Bruins will host the Capitals at TD Garden and puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
