The Boston Bruins have made some big changes to their roster ahead of their game vs the Washington Capitals.

The Boston Bruins will be looking to close out the 2024 calendar year with a big win against one of the top teams in the league.
Boston and Washington are set to have a rematch after the two teams faced off just before the holiday break when the Boston Bruins beat the Capitals 4-1, and the Bruins held the Capitals to just 11 shots in the game.
Things are going to look a bit different for the Boston Bruins since their first meeting with the Washington Capitals last Monday, and even from their game Saturday night. The Boston Bruins sent Fabian Lysell back down to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League the day after he made his NHL debut.
It is expected that Johnny Beecher will be back into the Bruins lineup after being healthy scratched for the game Saturday vs the Columbus Blue Jackets. It's not confirmed yet, but Jeremy Swayman is expected to be guarding the net for the Bruins just two days after logging his third shutout of the year.
Oliver Wahlstrom and Jordan Oesterle are also gonna be coming out of the lineup, something different from when these two teams last met.
Here are the Bruins and Capitals projected lineups for their New Year's Eve matchup. Puck drop is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET.
