As the dust settles from the major trade that happened on game seven of the Stanley Cup finals between the Boston Bruins and the Ottawa Senators, Bruins fans think there's a possibility that Ullmark will return two the Bruins in 2025.

After the trade was announced, it was told that Ullmark will not seek a contract extension during the season as he would like to bet on himself and try to bolster his number as his deal is set to expire at the end of next year. He currently holds a cap hit of $5 million and could likely seek the same amount or higher depending on how he plays.
There is a sense that the Bruins will be going through a retool or rebuild over the next two years as according to capfriendly.com, the Bruins only have eight players signed and will have a projected cap hit of $44 million prior to any signings this year. With that much cap space the Bruins could easily handle a new contract by Ullmark.
Ullmark will be front and centre for the senators as he will be the number one goalie outright. This season he played 40 games and had a record of 22-10-7 but the goals against 2.57 and a save percentage of .915 with two shutouts.
With Ullmark moved, the Bruins will focus their attention on restricted free agent Jeremy Swayman as he seeks a major payday after his playoff performance this year.
