Release date for NHL documentary on David Pastrnak and Jeremy Swayman was revealed
The much-anticipated FACEOFF: inside the NHL is to be released globally on Friday October 4th through Amazon Prime Video to which Bruins stars David Pastrnak and Jeremy Swayman and will make their TV debut.
This docuseries would be quite like the docuseries that was created with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2021. It will go into depth in terms of players families, teammates, coaches and other aspects of their life that will allow the NHL fan base to get a different perspective on how players operate in this league.
It will be a six episode show where Pastrnak will be on episode 1 as he will be with Toronto Maple Leafs star forward William Nylander. It appears the episode will focus on the rivalry between the Maple Leafs and the Bruins along with both players and how their series went after the Bruins beat the Leafs in seven games in round one last year.
Swayman Will be in episode 3 alongside Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk. This episode is named learning to win which is a testament to both players as Tkachuk and his Panthers we're learning how to win after losing in the Stanley Cup final the year before.
Swayman Had just shown his team that he can be the number one goaltender after dispensing the Maple Leafs but he ended up coming up short as he went down in the second round to the Panthers.
It's likely the response for these episodes will be watched by millions of fans as the production company and the NHL have covered several prominent stars including Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Quinn Hughes and Jack Eichel to name a few.
It's just another step in the NHL's mission to help bring their fan base closer together to their star players and so far, the model is winning.
