By all means, you can argue that Lysell is ready for a breakout season, after playing 56 games in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, he posted 50 points(15 G, 35 A).
He should've gotten a major look in the NHL, considering the Bruins gave Matthew Poitras and John Beecher long looks in the big leagues.
If not for his upper-body injury we could've seen how he would've fared in a long-term role in the NHL.
"Having the injury towards the end of the year didn't help," McQuaid said. "Fabian had taken some steps. Super young guy, came in and played pro when some of those guys were playing juniors. We sometimes forget that.
McQuaid continued: "For Fabian to just come in and be confident and not have to overcomplicate things. He's skilled. He's capable. He doesn't need to necessarily set the world on fire. Just come in here as a reliable player and create opportunities when they're there."
According to Adam McQuaid, he just needs to play, not overthink things, and be reliable, be what the Bruins need.
