The Boston Bruins have made an announcement, as they have signed two defensemen today.

The team has signed both defenseman to one-year, two-way contracts as they will make $775K, league minimum.

Both Michael Callahan and Alec Regula, have identical contracts, and will likely be headed to Providence in the meantime.

Michael Callahan, the 24 year old defenseman, has played the last three seasons in the AHL with Providence. In 2023-2024 he scored 17 points( 3 G, 14 A). Callhan was a selection of the Arizona Coyotes in 2018, 142nd overall.

Alec Regula, the 23-year old defenseman spent last season in the AHL with Providence, playing 55 games with the Bruins, scoring 26 points( 4 G, 22 A) with a +36.

Regula was drafted 36th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 2019.

Both defenseman will attempt to make the big club out of training camp, but could end up in Providence.
