The reason Mason Lohrei is a healthy scratch for the Bruins game tonight against the Dallas Stars was just revealed and it makes no sense.

Earlier Jim Montgomery revealed some more line changes, and revealed that Mason Lohrei will be a healthy scratch tonight.

Mason Lohrei, one of the Boston Bruins' most productive defensemen over the past five games, has been surprisingly scratched from tonight's game against the Dallas Stars. Many fans are puzzled by this decision, especially since Lohrei has been playing well, while other defensemen like Nikita Zadorov and Andrew Peeke have struggled in recent games.

The news of Lohrei sitting out has caused quite a stir among Bruins fans, who feel that the young defenseman has been one of the team's better players on the blue line lately. Lohrei has consistently contributed on both ends of the ice, showing strong defensive play and helping the team generate offense. His performance over the past five games has stood out, making this benching even more confusing to some.

The reason for Lohrei's scratch seems to be based on internal discipline, though specifics haven't been fully disclosed. Some fans feel this decision is misguided, believing other defensemen should be sitting instead. Zadorov and Peeke, for example, have not performed as well lately and could have easily been benched for a game, giving Lohrei more time to shine.

Misguided discipline is taking Mason Lohrei, our most productive defenseman in the past 5 games, out of this lineup when Zadarov & Peeke can easily be sat for a game based on recent performance.

The Boston Bruins are looking to bounce back after being shutout by the Nashville Predators.
