These kinds of shots could be viewed as a former teammate having fun with another at his expense or a more serious shot that could lead Frederic dropping the gloves against Debrusk.
The 26-year-old centre who was drafted by the Bruins in 2016, first round 29th pick overall stands at six foot three 220 lbs. This past season was his best season thus far in his six years in the NHL as he played all 82 games, scored eighteen goals with 22 assists for 40 points and as a + 9 with 69 penalty minutes.
Debrusk on the other hand chose to leave the Bruins and head to the West Coast as he signed a 7-year deal with the Vancouver Canucks that was worth $38.5 million and holds a cap hit at 5.5 million.
General manager Don Sweeney hopes that Frederic can take another step forward in this game as he will become the main centre for the third line and with the team stalled in the re signing of goaltender Jeremy Swayman.
Frederick will be a key player down the middle as the Bruins are still searching for another centre who will help them in the long term.
It'll be an interesting match up when the Bruins meet the Canucks, and we will see if de brusk and Frederic end up dropping the gloves.
