Two former Boston Bruins players were officially placed on waivers today.

A lot of NHL teams are making roster cuts as they prepare for the regular season, and two former Boston Bruins players were unfortunately apart of those roster cuts, and were placed on waivers today.

According to Bruins Latest Connor Carrick, and Reilly Walsh were both apart of roster cuts today, and landed on waivers after seeming like having a good chance of making their respective teams rosters.

Carrick, apart of the Edmonton Oilers organization was placed on waivers not long after signing a one-year, two-way contract during the off-season.

According to Sportsnet, former Boston Bruins defenseman Reilly Walsh was placed on waivers as well today. Just like Carrick during the off-season he just signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Los Angeles Kings.

Connor Carrick played the whole season last year with the Coachella Firebirds in the AHL. Appearing in 70 games, Carrick put up 9 goals, and 25 assists for 34 points with the Firebirds. Carrick has spent a lot of time bouncing back and forth between the AHL and NHL. He would appear in just one game with the Boston Bruins during the 2022-23 season, and would put up an assist.

Reilly Walsh during his four-year professional career has only played one game in the NHL, and it was with the New Jersey Devils during the 2021-22 season. Last year during the 2023-24 season Walsh would appear in 60 games for the Providence Bruins scoring 9 goals, along with 19 assists, for 28 points.
