After a day off on Sunday, the Boston Bruins were back on the ice for practice Monday in anticipation of their game against Montreal on Tuesday.

Some eyebrows were raised when both Patrice Bergeron and Brett Ritchie were missing from practice.

Bergeron missing practice usually isn't a big deal, however missing practice after a day off definitely wasn't a good sign.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed the bad news as he revealed to reporters that Bergeron and Ritchie would not accompany the team on their two game road trip to Montreal and Ottawa.

David Krejci once again stepped up to center the first line between Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak at practice while Charlie Coyle centered the second line between Jake DeBrusk and Danton Heinen.

We should expect some call ups today to have a better idea of tomorrow's lineup.
