Luckily, all three cleared (especially Reilly) and were still skating with the NHL club the following day. However, ahead of the regular season, Reilly, Foligno, Wagner and Jakob Lauko, have been loaned to the Providence Bruins of the AHL.
This is either a money move so the team can be cap compliant for the start of the season, or a demotion for longtime NHL regulars like Foligno and Reilly.
The Bruins can't put Brad Marchand and Charlie McAvoy on LTIR until regular season starts, so don't be surprised to see all three back in Boston come Wednesday.
