The Calgary Flames acquired Jonathan Huberdeau in a blockbuster deal with the Florida Panthers in a deal that sent Matthew Tkachuk the other way.

With only one year remaining on his contract with a cap hit of $5.9 million, Flames fans have wondered what the future might hold for the star winger.

Would Huberdeau have any interest in remaining a Flame long-term?

Last week, Huberdeau and Flames general manager Brad Treliving met for dinner to discuss a possible extension. While he has claimed to be open to a deal, he is set up for a huge payday next summer if he chooses to test free agency.

Huberdeau posted a video to Calgary Flames announcing which number he will be wearing for the team next season, and one fan seems to believe that based on his statement, he doesn't have any intention of staying beyond this year:

The account is obviously an Edmonton Oilers fan judging from the profile picture, and the fans from both sides of the Battle of Alberta will go as far as they can to take shots at their provincial rivals.
