After spending the past season away from the team, the centerman has shut down reports that he's coming back to Boston to close off the season or for another magical cup run.
GM Don Sweeney confirmed in a press conference earlier today that he was not going to try to get David Krejci back in the B's lockerroom this season.
Should he have cleared waivers, Krejci could have been a huge add to the Bruins as the club is currently dealing with many complications at center.
Krejci is also no stranger to long post-season journeys. The 35-year-old is Boston's all-time leader in playoffs points among forwards, sitting second on the franchise's all-time list behind Hall of Fame defenseman Ray Bourque.
Krejci has played 156 playoff games with the Bruins during his NHL career, racking up 42 goals and 82 assists for 124 points. He won the 2011 Stanley Cup with the Bruins and led the NHL in both playoff points (26) and assists (17) back in 2012-13.
After returning to his friends and family in Czech Republic to play this past season, Krejci informed the B's management that he would be staying in Czechia rather than attempting a comeback to the NHL.
