The last two players to center Boston's top line are most likely out for the team's next game and more.

The Bruins top line center and team captain, Patrice Bergeron, has already been ruled out of tomorrow's game against the Montreal Canadiens. Bergeron, who was orginally scheduled to miss one to two games, will officially sit out a third straight matchup on Monday.

After giving a not-so-convincing trial to fourth line center Tomas Nosek in Bergeron's first game out, the B's then turned to AHL call-up Jack Studnicka to slide in between Brad Marchand and Jake Debrusk on the top unit.

While Studnicka did pick up an assist in his first game as Bergeron's replacement, he also blocked a shot that seems to have added him to tomorrow's injury list.

We know head coach Bruce Cassidy has been reluctant to change both his second and third lines following their latest hot streaks, but the ongoing injury situation might force the bench boss to revisit his lineup.

Even more, it might force GM Don Sweeney into making a depth acquisition before tomorrow's transaction period comes to an end.
