Things got very heated in game two between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes, right up to the final buzzer (and after).

The Hurricanes defeated the Bruins by a score of 5-2 and took a 2-0 series lead before it heads back to Boston for games three and four. During game two, there were two rough incidents that stand out: David Pastrnak and Antti Raanta's collision and Andrei Svechnikov's massive hit on Hampus Lindholm.

Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour believes the Boston Bruins were deliberately targeting his goalies last night. Here's the play that he was referencing that was intentional by Pastrnak:

And this is what he had to say about the incident after the game.

I could see where Brind'Amour is coming from if it was a player like Trent Frederic running Raanta. Let's get real, though, David Pastrnak is really your typical goon, and there's a reason his penalty was reduced from a five-minute major to a two-minute minor. Raanta left the game and did not return, as he was bleeding from the mouth area, and only because I think it was his own mask that cut him.

Brind'Amour also commented on Svechnikov's hit and compared it to the Pastrnak and Raanta collision, saying "One was legal, and one was not."
