Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand underwent offseason surgery on both hips and had a projected return timetable of mid to late November. However, Fluto Shinzawa shared a massive update on his rehab progression from this morning's practice.
As per Shinzawa:
''First full team practice (albeit 20 minutes) for Brad Marchand. Was not holding back.''
This is the first time that Marchand has practiced in a full-contact sweater since his surgery, and it's a huge positive for the Bruins and their fans. Not only was it his only team practice, but it's reported that he was flying out there.
Matthew Grzelcyk, who also underwent offseason surgery, has been in a full-contact sweater for over a week and still hasn't played. So, this update could mean that Marchand is still on his original timetable.
However, let's hope he's back to 100% earlier than expected!
