The 6'2'', 197 lb defenseman born in Franklin, Massachusetts, was originally drafted in the fifth round (142nd overall) by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Boston Bruins from the Coyotes on February 22nd, 2022, in exchange for a 2024 seventh-round draft pick.
His name? Michael Callahan.
As per Bruins Network on Twitter:
''Mike Callahan. The 23-year-old defenseman plays a low-event game and with that comes a player who's responsible, mature and efficient. He's going to need time in Providence, but his transition to the professional game has been smooth so far. Keep an eye on him.''
Callahan spent the past four years at Providence College and recorded 13 goals and 53 assists in 138 games. He also appeared in 15 games with the Providence Bruins last season and collected one goal and one assist.
