One player in particular has impressed Jim Montgomery and staff (VIDEO)
One player in specific has impressed Jim Montgomery and his coaching staff thus far through the Boston Bruins training camp. As the new head coach, Montgomery has the pleasure of seeing some guys for the first time, and one, in particular, has received some high praise.
Defenseman Jakub Zboril was playing the best hockey of his career last season before he was injured and underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL. Now, it looks like the Czechia native is ready to return better than ever, and the bench boss has noticed:
''I think he's been ending plays. I like how assertive he's been with the puck. And I've liked his decision-making. Really happy with his start of camp.''
Also noting that, if needed, Zboril will be the first left shot to switch over to the right side:
''He's looked really good on the right side, really good on the left side. So, I don't see a difference so far... he's done a great job playing the offside so far.''
