The Boston Bruins came away with a 5-1 win against the Detroit Red Wings last night; however, they lost forward David Krejci to injury. It was an incident that occurred off a hit from Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen, and it looked harmless at the time.
While the original hit was clean, the follow-through of Rasmussen's stick strikes Krejci in the side of the head, and he was given a high-sticking penalty on the play.
And surprisingly this morning, NHL Player Safety announced this morning that Rasmussen will have a hearing for the play:
''Detroit's Michael Rasmussen will have a hearing today for High-sticking Boston's David Krejci.''
