As the month of January starts to come to an end trade rumors around the league start to build up.
With the Boston Bruins making another push for the Stanley Cup, the team has been featured in plenty of trade rumors recently.
While most trade rumors involve the Bruins trying to find a fit for their Top 6 forward group, it seems they're in the mix for a defenseman as well.
NHL insider Pierre LeBrun reports that the Bruins are amongst a handful of teams in the mix trying to land San Jose Sharks defenseman
Brenden Dillon.
LeBrun adds that the likely asking price for Dillon will be a second round pick and possibly a prospect.
The Bruins' don't have any salary cap space and would probably require a little help from the Sharks in retaining a bit of salary off of Dillon's $3.27million cap hit.
He'll be UFA after this season.
