The Boston Bruins missed out on free agency despite pushing for names like Ilya Kovalchuk and John Tavares.
When the smoke cleared the Bruins had signed Jaroslav Halak and defenseman John Moore, while the Toronto Maple Leafs added Tavares and the Tampa Bay Lightning are pushing to add Erik Karlsson.
Bruins general manager Don Sweeney doesn't believe a panic move is needed and is hoping his core group can improve on their own.
"You're juggling a few things [during the offseason], but you get through. You have contingency plans. All our staff, and I'm grateful for them, everybody worked hard [at the open of free agency], and all of the plans and all of the situations we had, the ownership was certainly supportive of what we are trying to accomplish," said Sweeney. "Hopefully we move forward as a better team."
Do you think the Bruins will be fine with the current roster they have or did they need to add a piece?
