Even though Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy had one of his worst games of the 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs in a 6-2 loss to the New York Rangers in game one, he was still able to make a highlight reel save.
On a partial two-on-one, a pass came across to Rangers forward Ryan Strome, it seemed like he had a wide-open net, but Vasilevskiy went old school with the "two pad stack."
The Lightning goaltender allowed 6 goals on 34 shots and was outdueled by his fellow countryman Igor Shesterkin, who made an incredible 37 saves and only allowed two goals on the night.
If NHL fans have learned anything from Vasilevskiy, though, it's almost guaranteed he'll bounce back with a big performance in game two.
