The newest Boston Bruin, Hampus Lindholm, is officially out for game three and possibly a while after taking a massive hit from Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov in game two.

It was unclear who would step up to replace Lindholm: Josh Brown or Mike Reilly? Head coach Bruce Cassidy announced this morning that it would be Reilly in the lineup and that he would be starting on the top pair with Charlie McAvoy. Brown would bring a more physical, shutdown style to the game, but I think Cassidy went with Reilly because he's a left shot and has familiarity with McAvoy from earlier this season.

Mike Reilly spoke to the media after the Bruins' practise this morning:

"Definitely comfortable for sure. I don't know how many games we got together, but I think it was something that was clicking pretty well. Kind of just feeding off each other and definitely try to jump at the opportunity to be able to play with him [McAvoy] and stick with him a little bit. Definitely excited to go back with him."

Reilly went on to discuss how important it will be to have the crowd behind the team to give them that extra excitement and motivation to try and get back in the series with a win in game three.
