NHL made major announcement involving Bruins captain Brad Marchand
As the Stanley Cup finals continue in Edmonton, the NHS public relations announced some interesting statistics regarding Bruins captain Brad Marchand.
During the Bruins Cup run in 2011, then rookie forward Brad Marchand had it 41 point season in his rookie year but decided to turn on his scoring and achieved 19 points including eleven goals in 25 games have the playoffs.
He became a force during the Stanley Cup final that year and scored a goal in four of the five games including a three-point night in the Game 7 winner.
Marchand has cemented himself as a Bruins legend and has put together a fantastic career with the team including several cup runs it has played 1029 games, scoring 401 goals of 528 assists for 929 points and is a + 292 with 1051 penalty minutes.
This offseason, many Bruins fans are awaiting the Bruins decision on awarding him his next contract as he is on his last year of his eight-year $49 million deal. Many expect that general manager Don Sweeney will award him his final contract which some feel will be between two to three years in term.
