The Stanley Cup Final will FINALLY be underway, with game one on Wednesday night between the Colorado Avalanche and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Lightning are back-to-back champions, but the Avalanche will most definitely be their stiffest competition. After they beat the Dallas Stars and Montreal Canadiens in the two previous years, who both had somewhat of cinderella runs.
For NHL fans, there's nothing more you could ask for in a Stanley Cup Final (besides having your favourite team competing), as these two teams are the best of the best, and it's going to be a tremendous series.
To get ready for the series, the NHL hosted their annual "Stanley Cup Final Media Day" on Tuesday to hear from all the players, coaches and management who will be battling it out for the Cup.
Avalanche's star defenseman Cale Makar had the quote of the day:
"They're a team that's looking to become a dynasty, and we're a team that's looking to start a legacy."
